5 Ways to Make Your Booth a Hit at an Expo

With dozens of booths in a typical expo, convincing people to stop at yours can be a daunting challenge. Many competitors will already be utilizing amazing themes and great designs. You need to step up your game to get noticed and introduce elements that encourage interaction and communication. Fortunately, an extra gimmick is all you need.

1. GAMES CORNER

Games are amazing at expos. The mind is often exhausted while investigating legions of booths and hundreds of products. Games offer the mind a break and they come in different shapes and sizes that will fit your booth’s theme. For example, a football video game or a foosball table can enliven a sports-themed booth. For a simple game that’s easy to implement, try a business card raffle draw. Offer a prize which attendees can offer by leaving a business card. It takes little time to prepare and can widen your contacts considerably.

2. FREEDOM WALL

A freedom wall empowers participants to easily share their ideas by posting it on a wall. It encourages people to be open to new ideas and products. In a variation on this timeless wall, during the SME Cross-Border Trade and Investment Matching event sponsored by Bank of China, its organizers installed a Continuing Partnership Board which featured a slot encouraging attendees to drop and exchange their business cards.

3. DISPLAY MODULES

Display modules aren’t only a stand for products to show off; they are places for potential customers to interact with your products. Make them inviting for customers instead of forbidding. People are more willing to trust products that they have touched and tested for themselves.

4. PHOTO BOOTHS

Everyday people upload 250 billion photos on Facebook alone; people really like sharing photos. Take advantage of this by creating a corner for creating memorable pictures that tie in with your brand. To make them more effective, share the photos immediately to your and the attendees’ social networks.

5. CHARGING STATIONS

After walking and networking for hours, a dwindling phone battery is the curse of many expo participants. Help them solve their problem by offering a charging station. Because these stations usually look unremarkable, you can build a custom stand that helps people while showing off your brand.
